Position: Director, Biotechnology Business Development
Department: Biotechnology
Report to: Director, Asia Pacific Technology
Location: Beijing
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Serve the key business and licensing role within a cross-functional team for the identification, evaluation and licensing of strategically important technologies.
- Develop marketing and business plans to integrate new technology into existing global research and business platforms.
- Utilize web-based tools to enable efficient interactions with multiple global customer segments.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:
1. MBA and/or advanced scientific degree in Ag Biotechnology related field (such as Plant molecular, cellular and developmental biology, genomics, and plant physiology etc.) is highly desirable.
2. Productive business and scientific interactions and good relationship with key institutes in China would be advantageous.
3. Demonstrated expertise in the technology identification and licensing within China is preferred.
4. Can work independently as well as cooperatively in a cross-functional and multi-cultural team.
5. Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese, negotiation and problem solving skills.
6. Initiative and foresight.
7. Be able to frequently travel within and outside China.
